Camp Bernie’s Community Lessons are a fun way for kids to enjoy the best of camp all year long! Each session includes outdoor adventures, creative activities, and hands-on fun that help kids learn, explore, and make new friends. Our American Red Cross certified Lifeguards help children improve their swimming skills through the use of the National YMCA Swim Lesson program. Children are grouped according to skill level and guided through engaging activities to develop and improve skills.
*This program is also open to children who are not enrolled in our summer camps.
*Please note: Bus transportation is not available after Swim Lessons.

Archery is a timeless sport, easy to learn and fun to master! Our USAA certified instructors will assess your child's skills and help them to improve their stance and techniques. Marksmanship games are incorporated to keep things fun and fresh.

A fun and safe introduction to archery where kids learn the basics of form, focus, and aim — all while building confidence and concentration through target practice and games!

Come try all of the challenge elements Camp Bernie has to offer. During this 6-week session, we will rotate through our challenge course elements. We will travel around camp to our high ropes, low ropes, archery, and climbing elements so the program participants can try a little bit of everything. This is a wonderful way for youth to take a step out of their comfort zone in a small capacity.
$150 per child (ages 5-12)
This class is designed for beginner riders to gain confidence on a bicycle and develop basic riding skills. All equipment is provided, including a bike, helmet, and knee/elbow pads.

Come learn about the critters we have at camp and those that live locally. We will discover all there is to know about the ecosystem that exists here at Camp Bernie. By the end of our time together, participants will be able to point out our local wildlife on the ground, in the sky, and in the streams.
