Meeting spaces at Camp Bernie vary by size and setting, to help accommodate all kinds of gatherings. Camp Bernie can provide a projector and portable screen for any meeting space, as well as easels, tables, and chairs set up in your desired arrangement. Refreshments can be arranged with the Groups Coordinator.
Built in 2019, this centrally located space features lighting, electricity, and quiet industrial ceiling fans. Large sliding doors can fully enclose the space to help focus a group, or opened in any combination to allow for fresh air and cross-breezes. Collapsible picnic tables and/or folding chairs are available. This space is ideal for team-building workshops and presentations.

This cozy, natural wood space provides a large and comfortable setting and is conveniently located at the heart of camp for easy access from the parking lot or any cabin. This space features festive lighting, a permanent pull-down projector screen, WiFi and open access to the coffee machine. Breakout space is available between the Main Room, Back Dining Hall, Rec Hall, and Back Chapel — all located in this building.
A grouping of picnic tables in this often sunny and breezy spot creates a calm, natural atmosphere for a small group to host an informal gathering.
Similar to Turrell, this space is a formal classroom designed for a smaller group. Laurel also offers direct access to the natural woods and fresh air of camp, allowing participants to unplug from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and really concentrate on self-improvement, motivation and team building.
Amidst the calming backdrop of nature, this spacious, open-air venue helps get the creative juices flowing. Exceptionally versatile, the Lower Pavilion offers the perfect setting for any gathering. This space features lighting and electricity, as well as moveable picnic tables.
This large, formal classroom space is an ideal location for a large group meeting. Far from distractions, but with direct access to the natural woods and fresh air of camp, the space provides the perfect dichotomy between focus and freedom, allowing participants to unplug from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and really concentrate on self-improvement, motivation and team building.

Located upstairs in the Dining Hall, this space can also be used as a meeting space for up to 50 people, but its primary function is relaxation and fun. This space houses the Camp Library as well as air hockey tables, foosball, ping pong, books and board games. A great indoor space to let off some steam or kill some time! This space features comfortable couch seating as well as easy access to Dining Hall features such as the coffee machine and WiFi.
Located at the rear of the Dining Hall, this room can easily be closed off for private workshop sessions and presentations. Tables and chairs are available, as well as lighting, electricity, ceiling fans, and easy access to Dining Hall features such as the coffee machine and WiFi.
YMCA Camp Bernie provides small fire pits at all of our cabins, but if you’re looking for larger campfire event, we have several designated amphitheatres to serve multiple groups. Bench seating overlooks an oversized fire pit, and one site features a stage for participant skits, songs, or presentations. Natural marshmallow sticks are plentiful, allowing for that perfect S’more (whether you like it burnt or golden brown).
Soccer, Lacrosse, Flag Football, or any number of group games can be accommodated on this large open grassy space. This has been the ideal spot for our Band Camps to rehearse their marching formations. Features include permanent goals and a disc golf course spanning much of the main area of camp. Balls and other athletic equipment available.
