Meeting Spaces

Meeting spaces at Camp Bernie vary by size and setting, to help accommodate all kinds of gatherings. Camp Bernie can provide a projector and portable screen for any meeting space, as well as easels and markers, tables, and chairs set up in your desired arrangement. Refreshments can be arranged with the Groups Coordinator.

Recreation Hall

Occupancy 50

Located upstairs in the Dining Hall, this space can also be used as a meeting space for up to 50 people, but its primary function is relaxation and fun.  This space houses the Camp Library as well as air hockey tables, foosball, ping pong, books and board games.  A great indoor space to let off some steam or kill some time!  This space features comfortable couch seating as well as easy access to Dining Hall features such as the coffee machine and WiFi.

Back Chapel

Occupancy 60

Located at the rear of the Dining Hall, this room can easily be closed off for private workshop sessions and presentations.  Tables and chairs are available, as well as lighting, electricity, ceiling fans, and easy access to Dining Hall features such as the coffee machine and WiFi.

YMCA Camp Bernie provides small fire pits at all of our cabins, but if you’re looking for larger campfire event, we have several designated amphitheatres to serve multiple groups.  Bench seating overlooks an oversized fire pit, and one site features a stage for participant skits, songs, or presentations.  Natural marshmallow sticks are plentiful, allowing for that perfect S’more (whether you like it burnt or golden brown).

Athletics Field

Soccer, Lacrosse, Flag Football, or any number of group games can be accommodated on this large open grassy space.  This has been the ideal spot for our Band Camps to rehearse their marching formations.   Features include permanent goals and a disc golf course spanning much of the main area of camp.  Balls and other athletic equipment available.

Kids need camp more than ever this summer!

Camp Bernie will be implementing new procedures into our camp program for summer 2020 to address COVID-19.  These are in accordance with State, CDC, and YMCA/ACA guidelines and are available on our Day Camp web page.

Overnight Camp has, unfortunately, been canceled for the summer of 2020.  Please see our Events page for info on our alternate programs this summer: Family Archery, Family Horseback Riding, Weekend Cabin Rentals, Community Swim Lessons, and Labor Day Family Camp!
